iTunes U Resources

iTunes U Course Manager Portal

The iTunes U Course Manager portal allows teachers to log in to the space where course creation occurs.  You may use a laptop or desktop of any platform in order to create courses. In order to use this portal, you need to create an Apple ID.

iTunes U Support via Apple

The iTunes U support page published by Apple will help you troubleshoot the course creation process.  This may be particularly valuable at a later date, in case you forget some of the procedural information.

Apple gives an overview of the iBooks app and the textbook experience on an iPad.  This will give you a good idea of the direction textbooks are heading.

Bookry (Widget Generator)

This website provides many free widgets you can download to add interactivity and interest to your iBooks Author book.  Sign up for an account to customize your own widgets.

iBook Generator (Widget Generator)

This website allows users to generate html 5 widgets for iBooks.  The three available widgets are YouTube, Vimeo, and Google Maps.  With "plug and play" style widget building to add interactivity to your book, this is the ideal widget construction website when working with students or first time authors.
